Today Will had his 18-month checkup. He weighs 27 1/2 pounds (75th percentile), but I would have thought he was over 30 based on what he feels like to pick up these days. He is 34 1/2 inches in length (96th percentile), and his head circumference is 19" (55th percentile). Overall his doctor says he is looking good. He is still a little behind in his language, but since he has made progress since his 15 month checkup our doctor is not concerned. Thankfully he only had to get one vaccine this time around, and he was quite a trooper about it.
In other news, Will has become much more independent in his play. He now spends time on his own playing ball (what he calls basketball), driving his cars around, and his new favorite pastime--climbing up into the big chair and looking at his books. Every day it's the same ones--trucks, tractors, diggers and dumpers, and emergency vehicles...surprise, surprise. Here are a couple shots of him in the big chair.
