Another Appointment Update and Pediatrician Visit

We had our weekly visit with our doctor this morning--everything is still looking good although he thinks it may be a couple more weeks (unless something changes quickly or my water breaks or something like that). My blood pressure and the baby's heartbeat are all still looking great!

After our appointment and a quick lunch at On The Border, we headed to a consult with a pediatrician. We really liked him and have decided to use him for our baby's pediatrician. Overall, his practice made us feel like we are back in the small towns that each of us grew up in. He has one other part-time doctor in his practice and shares office space, weekend appointments and weekend on-call with another pediatrician who only has one other part-time doctor as well. So, basically, unless it is a weekend that our doctor isn't on-call, we will always be seeing him, which is great because a lot of the groups in Dallas have a lot of pediatricians and you are only guaranteed to see your specific doctor for your regularly scheduled checkups. The other thing we loved was that after hours, patients call his cell phone...no nurse's line, answering service, etc. He prefers his patients to just call him no matter what time so that he can take care of it himself directly, which is pretty unheard of these days I think...

I'm definitely relieved to have found a doctor that we both feel really good about...now I'm feeling much more ready for Baby Lepak to make his/her debut!
