Yesterday, Will's Uncle Brian made his first start for the OU Sooners. They were playing the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Sooners have faced a lot of adversity this year (OU has had an unbelievable amount of injuries to important players), especially on offense and the offensive line (Uncle Brian is an offensive lineman and started at center yesterday). Well, Brian and the Sooners came out and kicked some major OSU butt. Will was especially impressed with how Uncle Brian would lead the team onto the field (he is number 51) and the way Uncle Brian was always immediately over the ball so that the Sooners could go quick tempo in their no huddle attack.
Anyway, OU came away with a 27-0 victory and Uncle Brian walked away with a game ball. It was a big day for the big guy and, needless to say, everyone in our family was thrilled to death and really happy for Brian.
Will was really excited. He considers himself Uncle Brian's biggest little fan. On top of that, Uncle Brian is going to be Will's godfather, so they are really tight.
Let's hear it, three cheers for Uncle Brian! Way to go big guy!
