Soccer

Will's soccer season is quickly coming to an end, and yet it feels like it has just begun. Probably because almost half of his games/practices have been cancelled due to weather (early March every freak ice storm seemed to land on or near a Monday and the rain has been relentless for the past few weeks). He is now playing on a team with some of his buddies from school and is really enjoying it a lot more. Plus, this year the kids don't cluster around the ball quite as much which is better for the kids who, like Will, aren't super aggressive.

Just last weekend he scored his first goal and was so excited! He gave Billy a big high five and told him he knows how to do it now and he was going to get out there and do it again. Unfortunately before we could execute any potential plans to celebrate after the game, he and his best bud decided to jump off a cement wall and attempt to grab leaves off a tree. You can imagine where this is going. He managed to face plant on the ground (thankfully dirt/grass and not concrete). Gushing nose and mouth were the result. Thankfully no broken bones and no stitches needed since his teeth didn't quite break through the lip. At this point he is almost healed. Cate, on the other hand, is still asking if everything red that she sees is blood. She was crying throughout the whole ordeal and later that day asked me if Will was going to die. Have I mentioned before that she can be a little dramatic?!? Truthfully she has been really sweet in her concern for her brother. Pretty sure though she's not going to end up being in the medical profession...

Earlier that day his sweet little team took pictures
