A Winter Wedding Weekend

A couple weeks ago (December 17th), Billy's brother, Bobby, married his long-time girlfriend, Paige. They had a beautiful winter wedding weekend that started with rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Since Billy and I were both in the wedding and the rehearsal events were taking place in the evening, we left Cate at home with my parents who had come up to help out for the weekend.

Bobby and Paige (aka The Bride and Groom)

Singing Hakuna Matata with Uncle Bobby

Will stayed busy eating chips and playing with stickers

The wedding itself was at 7 p.m., so Will had a long time to wait on Saturday to get to the part he was really waiting for--the party (aka the wedding reception)!

Waiting for the ceremony to begin

Since Will and Cate were both approaching their bedtimes (and Will is a bit antsy in church anyways), they spent most of the ceremony in the lobby area.

Looking for the bride...

Here she comes!

It's picture-taking time! (Note: By this time, Cate was about 1 hour post-bedtime, but she did great, never crying once, though as the night wore on she began looking more and more zombie-like.)

Bobby gave his groomsmen some awesome kicks to wear during the ceremony...boy were the guys comfortable!

The wedding reception followed and was filled with good food, good drinks, and even better company. Will and Cate stayed for about an hour and then my parents took them home. I was amazed the next morning to hear that Cate didn't fall asleep on the 20 minute drive home and had to be rocked to sleep...I think between the music playing, people dancing, and disco ball spinning she was one overstimulated baby!

Best wishes to the bride and groom!
