Happy Birthday Will!

It was two years ago that Will made his big arrival and transformed Billy and I into parents. It is hard for us to even remember life before Will was born--our lives changed so much on that day and he has brought more joy to our lives in the last two years than we could have ever imagined. Below is my attempt to give a snapshot of Will on his second birthday.

Will loves to play outside and especially loves to swing. He enjoys listening to the Winnie The Pooh soundtrack when we're in the car and likes to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. His other interests include puzzles, stamps, basketball and football.

He eats most foods and has a pretty varied diet. I don't have much to compare him to, but he seems to eat quite a bit for a 2 years old--he can really put some food away. Some of Will's favorite fruits and veggies are broccoli, green beans, cucumbers, tomatoes, strawberries, grapes and apples. Breakfast favs include waffles with syrup and cereal and milk. Will loves dip dip (i.e., any condiment either with another food or by the spoonful). A new favorite is asking for ice in his drinks. Other favorites (no surprise) include pizza, french fries, chips with guacamole or queso.

Will sleeps in his toddler bed with his bear, blankie, and Piston the Panda. He still gets his paci to sleep...at least for now while he fully adjusts to his new bed. Will prays at night (folds his hands together) and says Amen after the sign of the cross and after each prayer.

He is currently wearing size 24 month/2T clothes, depending on the brand. We'll get his height and weight tomorrow at his 2 year check up. He is an incredible big brother and he makes my heart melt when I walk in the room and he's sitting next to Cate making her laugh or showing her toys. His language has exploded over the last few weeks and he's picking up new words every day. He is starting to put two words together (i.e., Daddy home, I shoot, etc.) and has started using phrases such as "I did it."

We can't wait to see what the next year brings--until then, enjoy Will's first two years in pictures!
