Since Billy is in Orlando this week for work, I will take this opportunity to interrupt his Disney posts and catch up on a few things that have been happening around here.
Rewind to a few weeks back and we found ourselves in Houston for the weekend celebrating the marriage of my law school roommate, Ashley, and her hubby, Steve. No pics but SO MUCH FUN! We dropped the kids in Sugar Land with my parents to spend the weekend in El Campo (thanks again Granny and Paw Paw). They were thoroughly showered with attention and got to hang with their cousins as well. While the girls stayed and played with Cate, Keith and Kristie took Will with them to feed cows and play in cotton seed (think sand, but not wet and sticky). He loved it and brought some home in a bag which he won't take for show and tell because he doesn't want anyone else to play with it.
A few days after returning Cate had her 2 1/2 year appointment. She weighed in at 35.6 pounds (95th percentile) and measured 38 1/4 inches tall (97th percentile). Other than Will getting the last of his 4 year shots, our visit was pretty uneventful. Right before Thanksgiving, both kids had their Thanksgiving Feasts at the same exact time. That put me at Will's feast (with no camera) and Billy at Cate's feast.
Our little pilgrim!
Random aside, but has anyone ever had to buy diapers, wipes, and an entire outfit while out and about with no diaper bag and then proceed to the checkout lane where you hand them the tags you just tore of your kid's clothes?!? After today, I have. Lesson learned--you are guaranteed to need the things in the diaper bag when you don't have it. Guess this is my sign that it's time to get on the potty training already. Pictures from Thanksgiving in Oklahoma and more Disney posts to come...
