We have a walker and a waver! Yesterday Will took his first steps! Well, technically he has been taking little baby steps for a few days, but yesterday he finally pieced them together and started going 5 and 6 steps at a time. He's falling after a step or two more than he is getting in 5 or 6, but I'm sure it won't be long and he'll have it down pat. It's so amazing to watch the concentration in his face as he tries to balance and move his feet simulatneously and his excitement when he goes the distance and lands in my arms and gives me a big hug.
In other news, Will started waving bye-bye today! Last night while in the bathtub Will kept moving his hand around in a funny manner and then kept doing it a lot today. I thought it was either hurting him a little bit from one of his frequent spills or just some new thing he was into for the day, but turns out he was working on his wave. When Billy got home from work today Will finally put it all together and waved to both of us. Melts my heart--my little boy is growing up way too fast!
Wow! Will is certainly growing fast! Walking and waving!!! So exciting.

ReplyDeleteAwesome! Jayson says he is ready for Connor to start walking. He is crazy. i told him to cherish all the time with him now in his arms, because wants he starts moving, he probably wont be able to hold him anymore like a baby.
