Here is Will getting ready for the big day! It's so hard to find a baptism outfit for a boy. My mom ended up finding this one in El Campo for only $17...go figure! I was able to return the $50 satin outfit with the vest and tie from Sears that I was not too fond of--thanks mom!

Here is the initial blessing by Father Josef (Will cried through this part). Our priest is originally from Germany and after moving to the United States, he met his wife and they had 8 children. After his wife died, he became a priest. I think it gives him such an interesting perspective.

The holy water, chrism and baptism candle
So, Billy gives Will a bath every other night and he always gets it right before his last bottle before bed, so he is generally getting hungry while he's in there and he knows what is coming next. Well, when he gets hungry, he starts sticking his tongue out a little bit, so when the holy water hit his head, he instantly started sticking his tongue out...I was like "wow, big guy, this is not a bath and you aren't eating anytime soon so slow down!" It was quite hilarious!

After each child was baptized, Father Josef lifted them up for the congregation to see. We call this Will's "Simba" moment. ;-) He was loving the view--his eyes got huge!

Below are a few quick pictures taken after mass with Father Josef, Will's godparents, his Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian, and the rest of our guests. After mass we headed back to our house for dinner and drinks. Will loved all the presents he received and partied hard until he finally had to go to bed.

You will have to tell me where your mom got his outfit from, becuase I will be looking for one soon.
