Fall 2017

We kicked off September with my cousin's wedding. I don't know if I've ever seen Will act as silly as he was in the photo booth area. He spent probably 90% of his night there just hamming it up in front of the camera.

Once September hit, we started to really get settled in here in Austin. Will joined his new Cub Scout Pack and began an art class. Cate joined a new soccer team (Go Team Dallas!) and began taking jazz.

Will celebrated his 8th birthday with crab legs from Red Lobster, per his request. He is an avid reader and loves all things Minecraft and Pokemon. His favorite sport is swimming with basketball taking a close second. He can still busy himself for hours with some blank computer paper and art supplies. Favorite foods right now are breakfast foods (especially bacon), tacos, and cereal. Will loves Cub Scouts, especially the outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. His current occupation of choice would be to own a zoo for endangered animals (one of each gender so he can make sure they don't become extinct). He wants to be a modern Noah apparently.

Some random fun

Billy and Will made the trip up to Waco to watch OU play and see Uncle Brian in action. He did not like the height, liked the game, and LOVED the concessions!

Billy and I managed to squeeze in a long weekend in NYC in conjunction with one of his work conferences. We've been fortunate enough to have visited a few times since we lived there 10 years ago, but we still managed to find some new things to explore...Harlem, north half of Central Park, see Hamilton!!!, and the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

Special visit from Gramma and Grampa

Boy Scout Fall Campout

We rounded out October with Halloween. We had a Harry Potter, Elena of Avalor, Rapunzel and an unhappy peacock!

Second child to bawl when wearing "the peacock". I think it has something to do with the hood being on...
