On February 5, Miss Emmy Lou officially turned 18 months old!
Here's a little bit about her at 18 months:
- very hit or miss on food--she'll gobble up blueberries one day and chunk them off her tray the next
- climbs on top of anything and everything
- LOVES markers, whether it's taking the lids off and putting them back on or actually coloring on paper
- sleeps good (but only when at home)
- says "pease" (please) to ask for pretty much anything
- has a knack for spotting scissors her older siblings have left out
- attempts to sing "Let It Go" (Frozen) and "How Far I'll Go" (Moana)
- copies everything, especially during mealtime (demands ketchup, syrup, etc to dip; wants to use a fork/spoon, etc.)
- enjoys drawing on the MagnaDoodle, playing with baby dolls and these little princess dolls whose clothes clip on and off, swinging, and riding the little roller coaster in our backyard
- LOVES her momma, but does just fine without me, so long as momma is out of sight
- strong willed and determined little girl
- recently broke her tibia (they actually call it a toddler fracture) sliding at the Aquarium with Will
She has been such a trooper and figured out how to walk within about a week and a half. Nothing is slowing her down, but she does LOATHE the sponge baths and getting her hair washed over the side of the tub...
