15 Months

Our baby girl has hit the 15 month mark and has left the baby world behind! Although this age has its frustrations, I really love it. Seeing the light bulb come on as she learns and discovers new things every single day in the world around her is just so fun. Here's a little bit about Lucy at 15 months:

- definitely a climber

- increased attention span and will sit (usually) for the duration of a short board book

- good eater, especially if she can do it herself; she loves to use a fork and spoon (little more trouble with the spoon than fork and boy is she MESSY!)

- starting to scribble and is good at spying random crayons and markers that weren't put away

- weighs 26 pounds 11 ounces (> 95th percentile); 33 1/2 inches long (> 95th percentile); maybe this fourth one won't pass me up by the age of 10!?!

- still naps twice a day most days but can do just one longer nap if our schedule requires it

- loves music and loves to dance

- gets excited about Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on TV but it only lasts about 5 minutes and she's on to something else

- loves to be outside

- really into waving (opens and closes her fists)

- usually gets really excited to see Laney first thing in the morning and after naps and has an infectious belly laugh

- no new words but definitely communicates what she wants one way or another (i.e., goes to pantry door if hungry, goes to freezer drawer if she wants a teething ring, etc.)

- holds her own with Will and Cate (if they're sitting where she wants to be she will start pulling on them to get them up, and throws in a little screaming if need be)

- wants whatever everyone else has whether it is a specific food, cup of water with straw, whatever, which has made eating (especially at a restaurant) quite interesting

- no new teeth but is drooling like a maniac and all four molars feel like they're close to breaking through
