Over the Fourth of July weekend, Billy's youngest brother, Brian, got married. We were so excited to be a part of Brian and Colleen's wedding weekend in Tulsa. It was quite the adventure with a six month old and three of the five of us in the wedding, but we had so many helping hands which we are forever grateful for.
As flower girl, Cate was invited to attend the bridal luncheon. She is obsessed with "wedding girls" (aka brides) but was not down with taking any pictures.
Goofing around Marilyn Monroe style
Rehearsal dinner antics
The hotel we were staying at (and the reception was taking place at) happened to be hosting a large number of punk rock festival attendees. With kids at the age where they observe, point, and speak their mind about EVERYTHING, this proved rather interesting. I think Will's comment that the guy with a 6 inch spike mohawk looked like a fish took first prize.
Will and Cate did great walking down the aisle. Will stayed with the groomsmen during the entire ceremony and was right by Uncle Brian's side when he and Colleen exchanged vows and rings. Cate sat with Gramma and Grampa initially and then ended up with me (and not walking back down at the end). She was done.
I'm not above bribing when absolutely necessary--a few selectively handed out M&Ms got her to cooperate for pictures.
Playing with leftover wedding sparklers once we got back home
Not sure who was more tired--Lucy or Laney post-doggie daycare
