Cate's First Day of PreK 3

Today was Cate's first day at "big kid school" with Will. She has been so excited to finally get to join him. Her favorite thing might just be her brand new backpack. She picked it out on her own--the Disney Princesses with their pets (even beat out Elsa & Anna). Cate is now obsessed with Princess Pets. And there you go, Disney has found another way to squeeze more money out of my daughter's obsession with all things princess. The backpack even made its way all the way to Tyler for my cousin's wedding so that Cate could show it to Kinsley and Kasey.

I was surprised that I didn't get a whole lot of information out of Cate about her first day. She was happy when I picked her up and said she had a good day but that was about it. I was expecting the blow by blow from my chatterbox. I did get to watch them for a little bit while they were at recess since my office window overlooks the playground. PreK 3 and PreK 4 go out at the same time, so I was interested to see Will and Cate's level of interaction. They definitely hung together (mostly Cate following Will), but then they'd kind of lose each other amongst all the kids and play on their own. Then one would stop and look around for the other. My stalking paid off during their second trip outside (right after lunch) when Cate collided with another kid and Will came over and helped her brush off the wood chips from her arm. Melt. My. Heart.

After school we headed over for Cate's first day of pre-ballet/tumble. She loved it and was already asking when she gets to go back! After all of the newness and excitement of the day, she was one worn out little girl.

4. What do you want to be when you grow up? A ballerina

5. Who is your best friend? Kasey & Kinsley

6. What is your favorite movie? Little Einsteins where I see all the parts of the butterfly & "the one with the dragon" (i.e., Mulan)

7. What is your favorite color? Pink & Purple & Yellow

8. What is your favorite toy? The pink car (a Little People car)

9. What is your favorite song? Let It Go

10. What is your favorite animal? Unicorn & Pony

11. What is your favorite cereal? Lucky Charms

12. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Wrestle (?!?!?)

13. What is your favorite place to go? Disney World

14. What is your favorite thing about school? Play outside

15. What is your favorite donut? Chocolate icing with sprinkles

At this point Cate got a little grumpy and in Cate fashion spouted off, "No! I'm not going to say these things any more!"

16. What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Vanilla

17. If you could go one place, where would that be? Disney World (in an angry voice as she continued her grumpy routine)
