Happy Birthday Cate!

On May 18th, our baby girl turned T-W-O! It's hard sometimes for me to even remember life as a family of three. Here's a little about Cate at two years old:

- Weighs 32 pounds 9 ounces (98th percentile), 38 inches tall (+95th percentile), 19 1/4 inch head circumference (89th percentile) - and yes, at this rate both of our kids will probably be taller than me by age 10

- huge personality and knows few strangers; dramatic in true girl fashion and can throw some epic temper tantrums

- loves accessories (purses, bracelets, etc.) and anything pink, purple, and/or glittery and sparkly

- currently sleeps with 6 loveys and 2 pacis (we've got a serious paci addict on our hands)

- does not generally like having her hair combed or fixed; usually prefers no bows, pony tails, etc.

- favorite show is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (the episode Daisy's Pony Tail has helped lately in convincing her to pull her hair out of her face)

- when tired she twirls her hair in front of her face and when really tired her eyes will roll back (we call that "exorcist baby")

- sleeps from 8 pm until 6:30 or 7 with a 2 hour nap

- loves to sing and dance

- complete chatterbox - the stuff that comes out of her mouth and the conversations she has at 2 years old never cease to surprise me

- enjoys "school" (i.e., 5 hours a week at Mother's Day Out) and tells me the names of her teachers, classmates, etc.

- eats most foods but LOVES yogurt (apple and sweet potato is her favorite flavor and sometimes she likes to sprinkle granola on top); most random foods she eats are probably edamame and hummus

- has recently started saying things are gross if she doesn't want to eat it (so freakin' hard to not crack up when she says this)

- knows her basic prayers, ABCs, most of her colors, basic shapes, and counts to about 13
