Seriously, this little girl looks too darn old to be my little 22 month old!

The next morning us gals got together to let the kiddos play. Despite the fact that we were missing four, they still managed to play with just about every toy in the Zabodyn household!

Later that day we celebrated Easter with my dad's side of the family. The great grandkids had one heck of an Easter egg hunt. Here they are (minus a few) lined up and ready to go.
We packed the rest of the day with a sprinkle shower for Jill (what a trooper!) and an awesome dinner out with friends. I seriously haven't laughed that hard in ages. After church and lunch we packed up and headed back. Whew, what a whirlwind of a weekend!
Now for a quick update on the house--most of the demo is done and the not so exciting part of the plumbing (i.e., what you don't see) is complete. The hardwoods are almost completely in (they'll be stained and finished toward the end) and the painters will come this week to paint the outside and scrape ceilings, take down wallpaper, etc. The electrician is there today moving around some lights and adding wiring in a few places. We have the granite, sinks, most of the tile, stairs, master bath cabinets, and most of the plumbing fixtures picked out. Next up is the remaining tile (backsplash in the kitchen), a couple more plumbing fixtures, carpet, appliances, and eventually paint, light fixtures and ceiling fans.
Below is a view of the wall between the kitchen and living room (it was a narrow doorway and now it is opened up--there will be a narrow bar-height counter between the rooms as well once the granite is installed in a few weeks).
I completely dropped the ball and didn't get a picture of the infamous fountain before demo. It is now gone but you can see on the sheetrock how tall it went and how much space it took up (basically the entire area that doesn't have hardwoods on it yet).
Here is Billy's shower (as tall and big as our contractor could get it)
And the rest of the master bath...the far space is just waiting for my claw foot tub!
More pics to come as more visible stuff actually starts happening. The rest of the house essentially looks like the master bath--a big ol' mess!

Looks like things are going well w/ construction! Can't wait to see more pics!
