State Fair of Texas

Last Friday we loaded the kids up and headed out to the State Fair of Texas. We started out with the train exhibit in the greenhouse and some pumpkin painting.

Next up was the dog show (only one pic because Cate confiscated my camera)

After that was a trip to the petting zoo. Cate was determined to reach into each and every pen, including those that contained biters (thankfully little miss left with all 10 fingers still intact).

On our way out Will got to pick one ride. Here they go!

As many of you probably know, Big Tex caught on fire and was gone within about 10 minutes. The fire actually happened while we were there, but we were on the other side of the Cotton Bowl, so we didn't see anything. Big Tex was on our itinerary for later in the day, but unfortunately that was never able to happen.

Our two pumpkins in their Halloween jammies

This little girl LOVES her baby dolls--she is constantly pushing them in her little stroller, feeding them with spoons and bottles, giving them pacis, giving them hugs and kisses, and putting them on pillows to go to sleep.
