Over Memorial Day Weekend, we headed down to Lake Conroe to enjoy our annual Cerny family vacation. My parents rented lakeside villas at La Torretta Resort and Spa, and it was incredible! The resort had something to offer everyone from miniature golf to fishing on our private pier to the expansive water park.
Attempt at a picture of Paw Paw, Granny and the kids (lesson learned--take this picture on day 1, not during naptime on the last day!)
The water park had the perfect little area for Cate and Lane (fairly shallow and fenced off from the rest).
Will enjoyed it too!
Of course most of the time Cate wanted to be in the "big kid" area and would stand at the fence stomping her feet and acting like she was in prison!
So, that's where we ended up...
Cate did not want to be helped much, but even though she face planted in the water quite a bit, she didn't seem to mind. Here she is with Aunt Kristie pointing at the big kids.
The playscape had a couple smaller slides, and the kids absolutely loved them. At first Will went down with Billy or I, but by the end of day one, he was sliding by himself.
Recently we bought Will a puddle jumper (half arm floaty, half life jacket), and it has really given him more freedom in the pool. While we were on vacation Will jumped off the side of the pool for the first time.
He also had fun getting tossed by Uncle Keith.
The lazy river was a huge hit by all. Will especially liked all of the waterfalls that would splash down on you as you floated by.
By the end of the weekend Cate had started teething, so all she wanted to do was carry around Will's crocs and chew on the back strap.
A few more of Cate by the pool...
That took forever, so pictures from Cate's birthday celebration, fishing, and other randomness to come...
