Small Project

Last week a few Christmas elves came into our home and performed a little magic. Okay, so it was just our contractor and his worker bees, but in the spirit of the season, we'll call them elves. Our little elves performed a long anticipated face lift of our master bedroom. Most importantly, they installed a fan and overhead recessed lighting (neither was present before)! It's amazing how much brighter the room is now, and we especially love not pulling a stand up fan out of the closet each night. Since they were cutting into the ceiling, they went ahead and scraped the popcorn ceilings and retextured them. They also put up a wider crown moulding, repainted the walls and trim, and replaced the carpet. Our master bedroom facelift is almost complete...next up (sometime after the New Year but hopefully before baby #2 arrives) is matching bedroom furniture to replace our non-matching hand-me-down pieces from college/law school.
