15 Months & 20 Weeks

It is a big week in the Lepak house--Will turned 15 months yesterday and we had our 20 week sonogram appointment today. Here is a recap of what Will is up to...

- Favorite foods: Macaroni & cheese (okay, anything that has to do with cheese-the boy loves it); most fruits, especially strawberries and grapes; scrambled eggs; broccoli and green beans; green bean casserole with chicken in it; animal crackers and Gerber lil' crunchies; yogurt

- Learning to use a spoon and prefers to hold it himself as you help him (in addition to holding his own toothbrush while Billy helps him brush)

- Transitioning to only one longer nap a day, but still likes two shorter naps half the time

- A man of few words...Will occasionally says Mama and says Daddy much more often, but overall, he's mostly babbling like a mad man. He communicates a ton non-verbally like pulling on his bib when he's done eating or standing at the gate at the bottom of the stairs when he is ready to go take a nap.

- Runs almost everywhere he goes and loves to try and climb, which has resulted in lots of bumps and bruises...he doesn't like to slow down one bit

- Still has 6 teeth but seems to be constantly working on getting more in--the first six came in pretty rapid succession, so maybe once the next one starts breaking through a number of them will follow

- Enjoys stacking blocks (and knocking down the blocks anyone else stacks), reading books with mom and dad, throwing balls (and everything else he can throw), playing outside, and moving items from one place to another or putting smaller objects inside larger objects

- Wearing 12 month and 12-18 month clothing, depending on the brand

Baby Lepak also had an appointment today. His or her heartrate was 144, and we got to do a sonogram. Everything looks good so far. The baby is very active (surprise, surprise, he is Will's sibling), and he or she is currently in breech position but this isn't cause for concern since we are only half way. Billy felt the baby kick for the first time on Monday night (well, it must have been the baby's elbow because we found out today that it is on the side where his or her upper body is positioned).

My blood pressure was good, and I also was able to receive my flu shot. So far I have gained 8 pounds. That is a little under target, but I gained similarly with Will and he was 8 pounds 4 ounces, so no one is concerned.

Below are the sonogram pictures. The first one is a really good profile picture, and the second one is a shot of the baby's face from straight on.

Below is my 20 week belly pic, so if you aren't into seeing that kind of thing, go no further and carry on with your day. ;-)
