Cate Turns Seven

It's official, we have ourselves a 7 year old. Cate has grown so much over the last year. She continues to enjoy playing soccer and dancing, along with hosting, baking, and generally helping in the kitchen. Her go-to activity after school is definitely going in the backyard, and her reading has really taken off these last few months. Cate is such the little mama to Lucy and Emma--she feels emotions very deeply which I think leads to her motherly/caring side. She vacillates between tattling and not wanting her siblings (Will mostly) to get in trouble. ;-) Most mornings when woken up she pops right up and starts chatting, especially if something somewhat exciting is happening that day. Cate loves pretty much all things sweet, whether it's candy or breads like cinnamon rolls, bagels and muffins. And boy was she excited for her big day--she counted down to her birthday starting on May 1. Between cinnamon streusel muffins for breakfast, Field Day falling on her birthday, and breakfast food for dinner at Kerby Lane, I'm pretty sure it didn't disappoint!
