On Friday our baby girl turned 9 months old! Emma has become quite the competent crawler and can go pretty fast when she's trying to keep up with someone. She is pulling up on everything she can get her hands on and has started cruising a bit. She is also standing a little bit on her own for about 5 seconds at a time. We'll have a walker on our hands before we know it! Emma LOVES her baths and gets very excited when she hears the water running and when she gets undressed. Her eyes are still bright blue and her hair has thickened up quite a bit. It is still a slightly dirty blonde color. Emma still only has one tiny tooth but more seem to be on their way. She is not a huge fan of anything other than purees, including cheerios and puffs. She spits out any chunks that are in her food. Guess she'll get there eventually. Emma loves her dog Laney, especially her collar, and doesn't hesitate to crawl right over her if she is in her way. At this point, Emma is not doing any discernible babbling. Mostly she makes this noise like she's clearing her throat. If there is one thing I've learned after 4 kids is that each one is his/her own person and will do things at his/her own pace. On that note, she is sleeping way better since we moved her into her own room, but I do give her a bottle during the night. I know she doesn't need it, but honestly I don't mind that little bit of quiet we get each night and she goes right back to sleep so for now it's working for us.
