Summer Vacay - First Half

It's hard to believe that summer vacation is halfway over already! June and the first part of July were very busy for us. The second half of the summer will be busy for a whole other reason (i.e., introduction of kiddo #4). ;-)

Here's what we've been up to...

On the weekend of June 4, we were honored to be a part of Ben and Sarah's wedding festivities! The kids had so much fun--Cate was a dancing queen (their band was AMAZING!) and Will was hamming it up all night at our table. A huge thank you again to my mom for flying up and helping out, mostly with Lucy who surprise surprise isn't the best tablemate for a three course dinner having had no nap. ;-)

A few more random soccer pictures one of the other parents took

We wrapped up tee ball with trophies and pizza. Not seeing a whole lot of baseball in our future--we shall see what Will decides next year...

In mid-June the kids attended Vacation Bible School at our church. They learned a lot and had tons of fun with friends. Lucy hung in the nursery while I volunteered, and she did well. She hasn't had a lot of experience being left with random babysitters so I was pleasantly surprised and am optimistic about her one day per week Mother's Day Out program for the school year.

Family movie night sans Lucy to see Finding Dory

Later in June we joined the rest of the Cerny clan for a long weekend at Schlitterbahn. Billy and the big kids played hard for three solid days, after which all three kiddos went home with my parents for a few days. Empty-nesting it for a few days wasn't too bad! ;-)

Billy held down the fort at home while I drove down to Tyler for a much-needed Girls' Weekend (and surprise baby shower)!

Random trip to the skating rink--we have a lot of practicing to do, maybe next time with Dad instead of Mom.

A little face paint fun at the Arboretum--way too hot lately to spend too long out there...
