Well, we're about 3 1/2 weeks in to being a family of five, and so far so good. For two weeks we were all at home--no work, no school, no activities, nothing. While it was nice, there were definitely lots of stir crazy moments, especially when it was cold and raining for a few of those days. Add to that Will and Cate's low grade fevers and coughs and our attempts to keep them from passing their lovely bug along, and it was interesting to say the least. Overall Lucy is a pretty chill baby and has slipped fairly seamlessly into the craziness that is our household!
We came home from the hospital in the evening to two VERY EXCITED older siblings.
Christmas Eve morning my mom headed home. That night we braved church. Not too bad for me since I pretty much fed Lucy the entire first half of mass. Billy on the other hand had the overexcited and overtired older two. Not sure how much he got out of it...
Christmas morning was pretty low key. The kids were excited that Santa and the reindeer had enjoyed the treats they left for them. Will and Cate had fun opening up their gifts, and Santa made sure not to forget Lucy who ate through gift opening (hence the small number of pics that were taken one handed--that will likely be a new trend around here). Actually it was nice to sit back and take it all in instead of trying to capture EVERY MINUTE with the camera.
And more visitors...and more pictures...
