Today was Will's first day of Preschool. He was very excited about school until we got to his classroom. Even then he only hid behind Billy's legs for about 15 seconds. By the time he found his cubby, put away his things, found his seat, and started coloring, he barely wanted to stop his coloring and tell us goodbye. In that short amount of time I had turned my attention away from Cate, she had taken off her shoes and was in the middle of the classroom. Needless to say, she wanted to stay at school with Will. Instead she went with me to work for a couple hours. Now that was interesting... My office window overlooks the lower playground, so I was able to peek in on Will while he was at recess. He had a big grin on his face and looked like he was having a great time. When I picked him up he had a ton to report--he got to go to the playground twice (his favorite part of school), he ate lunch and had cheerios during snacktime, watched a Curious George video (something about George messing with a clock), he did stickers, and he had to "rest his tired arms and bones" during naptime. [These first few weeks are definitely more about learning how to go to school and less about learning anything substantive.] He is excited to go back on Thursday, so overall the first day was a huge success!
Last night Billy and I interviewed Will. Here's what he had to say:

What are your favorite foods? Carrots, green beans, ice cream, and strawberry shortcake (not sure where the last one came from because I don't think he's ever had it before)

What is your favorite toy? (He didn't know what to call it but described it to me and gave me its exact location in the playroom--it's one of those activity boxes with different things on each side and on top is wooden beads on wire like you always see in waiting rooms at the doctor's office. His answer surprised me a bit, so I later asked which part was his favorite and he pointed to the abacus.)

If you could go one place, where would that be? Disney World tomorrow
