Thirty and Fifteen

Over the weekend I turned the Big 3-0, and Cate turned 15 months!

At her 15-month checkup this morning, Cate weighed 26 pounds 13 ounces (96th percentile) and measured 33 1/4 inches long (>95th percentile). Her head circumference came in right around there at 18 3/4 inches (93rd percentile). While we were there, Cate got a few vaccines and all four of us got our yearly flu shots/mists.

Here are a few things about Cate at 15 months:

- Some of her favorite foods include corn on the cob, green peas, macaroni and cheese, any kind of pasta with tomato sauce, strawberries, bananas, and dipping things into ketchup

- Has become more attached to her lovey, Lola

- Loves to help, especially with laundry (taking it on and off the drying rack) and Will's potty training (So "helpful" with potty training that we had to put a baby gate in the doorway of the bathroom so Will could do his business alone and in semi-privacy but without shutting the door all the way)

- Thinks she is about 3 years old...too big for her britches!!!

- Prefers to walk up the stairs holding onto the stair railing and your hand (see directly above)

- Has become very independent (insists on climbing into the car and into her car seat, wants to sit in a booster seat at the table, etc.) Again, see above...

- Loves to push her baby in her little stroller

- Comprehension has flown through the roof; language is slowly getting there (has about 5 or 6 words she uses)

- All four first molars are in, but the cuspids are now on the move

- One tough cookie--when she takes a hard tumble (which happens a lot now that she's starting to run a little) she usually pops right back up and keeps on moving.

Cate has become Will's little shadow, and boy does she adore her big brother. She is a ball of energy and sometimes a ball of fire, but we wouldn't have it any other way! Here are a couple quick pics of our little pistol kicking back and watching an episode of Little Einsteins with Will.
