Eight Months

Happy 8 month birthday to our little girl (or little boy as Will says--we tell him he is a big boy and he understands big and little, so therefore Cate is a little boy in his mind)! Here is a little about Cate at 8 months:

- Finally in a size 2 shoe (according to Carters size 2 is 3-6 month, so I guess Cate has small feet considering how long she is)

- Pulling up and crawling EVERYWHERE (and she knows where to find me if I'm not in the living room--straight to the kitchen)

- Takes a pacifier to go to sleep most of the time but doesn't really care for it much otherwise

- Starting to stand while only holding on with one hand

- No new teeth but she is working on the next two on the bottom (she makes a V shape with her fingers to avoid her bottom two teeth and chews away)

- Claps her hands

- Cries when she spots her car seat if we've been in and out of the car a lot that day

- Takes a bath with Will most nights and LOVES to splash

- Starting to take a liking to her sippy cup, especially when it's filled with diluted juice

- Favorite finger food: yogurt melts

- Gives high-5s (sort of)

- Definitely a mama's girl

- Thinks Will is the funniest person on the planet (belly laughs at him all the time, especially when Will laughs back)



A morning at the Museum of Nature and Science equals two exhausted children!
