Our "Baby"

Here are a couple pics of our "baby" Laney. She weighed about 60 pounds when we took her to get spayed a few weeks ago (you can still see where they shaved her), but we're thinking she's probably about 65 or so now. She is one of the most expressive dogs I have ever encountered (happy, protective, concerned, curious, apologetic when she gets into trouble, etc.) and even knows how to throw a proper temper tantrum (maybe she's trying to prepare us for what's to come)! After we put her ear drops in every couple weeks or put her flea medicine on once a month, she throws the biggest fit for the rest of the night. She will walk a few feet, plop down, and turn her face away from us...wait a minute or two and then get up, walk a few feet, plop down, and again turn and look away from us. The best part is that the entire time she is breathing short, fast breaths in and out of her nose being as loud as she can possibly be. We can't help but burst into laughter!
