In one post I will attempt to cover Will's Christmas program, Christmas in El Campo, our very first Christmas morning AT HOME, and finally Christmas in Claremore.
First came Will's PK3 Christmas Program
Intro song (pretty sure Will was a little overwhelmed at first by all of the parents/grandparents watching)
And he's back
His part in The 12 Days of Christmas (12 drummers drumming--no coincidence he was assigned a part where he only had to sing once on the microphone)
This entire song he looked down and played with his streamer with his foot--I think he was needing a little break from looking at the audience again (this year was light years ahead of last year where he wouldn't do anything)
We headed down to El Campo the weekend before Christmas to celebrate. Amongst the many great photo-ops at Great Grandpa's house (think feeding Sister Sarah the horse, climbing trees with my cousins' children, etc.) my camera only managed to come out while they each opened their gift).
The next day we celebrated with Granny and Paw Paw and the rest of the gang
Then back to Dallas we went to enjoy our first ever Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at home, just the four of us. First up, Christmas Eve mass and a drive around Dallas to look at Christmas lights. Christmas mass at our church was probably one of my favorite things about staying in Dallas. The kids were rather confused though because in their minds it couldn't be Christmas Eve because there was no snow. Sorry to break it to ya kids, but we do live in Texas.
I've said this before, but this one is a hot mess! Always oozing sass in her pictures...
Christmas morning was especially exciting since Santa left a little scavenger hunt to find the final gift.
This year we were fortunate enough to be in Oklahoma at the same time as all of Billy's siblings, plus we even got to see some of the extended family as well. (Again dropped the ball on taking my camera out…)
No one is quite ready to leave Christmas 2013 behind. I'm slowly putting up the Christmas decorations because the kids don't want to see it go. After this afternoon we're down to the mantle and the big Christmas tree. Not uncommon around here to still hear the kids belting out Christmas songs or playing "the Grinch" or "Santa"...
