Will's first "shaving" lesson--he was using a small play knife from his play kitchen
Monday night Cate came down with quite the illness. It appears to be mostly affecting her throat, and poor baby is quite miserable. I'm hoping we are on the tail end of it. Only tomorrow will tell...
So far Will has avoided most of it. He ran just enough fever to keep him home from his Easter party at school today, but overall he has been in pretty good spirits.
An early Easter present came yesterday from Billy's parents--thanks again for the yummy fruit! I especially like the chocolate-covered bunny-shaped pineapple!
I'm thinking Will liked the Easter balloons--he walked around the house holding them for quite sometime and proceeded to hold onto them during an episode of Little Einsteins.
Yesterday north Texas had some pretty ugly weather. Good news--no fatalities have been reported. Bad news--property damage is very extensive, and many people's homes were completely destroyed by the reported 12 tornadoes that touched down in the area (so far rated at F2s and F3s). We were extremely fortunate--our immediate area missed the majority of the severe weather.
The kids and I tuned into the coverage all afternoon in case we needed to take shelter, and at one point severe weather was on every side of us. The closet under the stairs was cleared out and filled with a few supplies--better safe than sorry! Somehow we walked away with only rain and some thunder. Tornadoes hit west of us in Arlington, just north of us in Addison, south of us in Lancaster, and east of us in Forney. Below are a few pictures of the devastation. Please keep everyone who was affected in your thoughts and prayers!
